The Trust has now been running for over seven years, and has distributed around £125,000 in grants to a wide variety of projects. Its life was always planned to be around 5 years, and having distributed almost all the money at our disposal, the Trustees will wind up the Trust during the summer.
A concert celebrating the achievements of the Trust was held in St Mary’s church
South Woodford in March 2010, and an eclectic collection of performances by some
of our grant holders made for a hugely enjoyable afternoon. As always, the remarkable
Kaos Choir under Ali and Suzy gave us an irresistible performance; we also saw the
achievements of the ColourStrings group from Cranbrook Primary School led by Karen,
joined in an instant percussion-

However, it wasn’t our last concert. Also in March, Danielle Salamon gave a much
appreciated piano recital for the Trust to a capacity audience, in the beautiful
setting of the music room at Burgh House. It raised £500 for Trust funds. And there
is another, very final, concert at the end of June -
